Maintaining wood and laminate is important to helping keep the surface of your floors looking bright and lustrous while ensuring that surface particles don’t compromise the finish or performance of the floors.
An Easier Way to Clean Laminate and Wood
For daily cleaning of wood and laminate floors, we recommend the Basic Squeaky Floor Care Kit. This kit comes with everything you need to thoroughly clean and maintain your wood and laminate flooring, including a 32-ounce spray bottle of Basic Squeaky Clean Spray Cleaner, Basic Microfiber Cleaning Pad and Basic Coatings Swivel Head Mop and pole assembly. The easy-to-use spray cleaner cleans away dirt, dust and debris without leaving behind any streaks or residue. Basic Coatings recommends this kit for both residential and commercial applications.
We also carry all of the extras you need to keep your Basic Coatings cleaning kit in play for the long-run, including replacement microfiber mop pads as well as Basic Squeaky refills that you can use when your spray bottle runs out. Make sure to closely follow your manufacturer’s cleaning and care instructions before applying any cleaner to ensure that you’re using a product that won’t affect the finish or quality of your flooring. Another great option for deep cleaning your hardwood floor is the I.F.T. Aggressive Wood Floor Cleaner from Basic Coatings. This product is one of our best at removing grime that has worked its way deep down into your hardwood floors, and at eradicating old floor finishes without harming the quality hardwood.

What is a good cleaner for waxed hardwood floors, one that can get surface dirt without completely stripping the wax. I’m assuming this must be solvent based and not acrylic.
Thanks. KarenBauer
Hello Karen
Unfortunately, most products used for waxed hardwood floors are being phased out. I would suggest reaching out to DuraSeal, which is a company that makes floor wax, to see if there’s anyone in your area who handles their product line.
Do you recommend using a sealer on my cork floors? What is the best way to clean them properly? I really like the coek flooring and want to make it last.
Thanks for your help.

Hello Wanda
We typically stick with what the flooring manufacturer recommends. If you know who the manufacturer of your flooring is, feel free to contact us at 877-356-6748 so we can discuss further. If you do not have that information we would generally suggest using the Loba floor care products which can be found on our site. https://www.1877floorguy.com/loba.html
